About Us
The Chained Dog Awareness Trust (CDANZ) was created to inform people of the increasing numbers of dogs that are permanently chained or locked away and to whom existence is a living hell.
With a growing group of dedicated volunteers - we ensure that someone speaks up for the dogs who cannot speak for themselves, we raise our voices to alleviate their suffering.
Every day in New Zealand dogs are dying from cold, heat, starvation, disease, neglect and abuse and the current legislation allows this to happen - even though chaining a dog for life is illegal.
There are thousands upon thousands of chained dog's needlessly dying throughout New Zealand, our work is the tip of the ice berg - we want to see change!
